System W 14
Rail fastening systems for concrete sleepers
tension clamp Skl 14
All the fastening components can be captively pre-assembled onto the sleeper at the sleeper works (see illustration). As a result, mechanised and fully automatic fitting in the track is possible.
The rail is permanently tensioned by spring actuation by means of the two torsion spring arms of the tension clamp with approx. 10 kN toe load at a spring deflection of approx. 13 mm per tension clamp, whereby the fastening requires no maintenance.
The tilting movements of the rail are resiliently absorbed by the middle bend of the tension clamp. This means that thermal stress in the rails can be compensated for just by loosening the bolts. Should a rail change become necessary, the tension clamp is simply pushed back into the pre-assembled position.
Reliable, safe and maintenance-free, long spring deflection, high tensioning forcet, high creep resistance, effective protection against tilting. Fully automatic track-laying possible through pre-assembly of all components in the sleeper
